Over 500 winter clothing items gathered in community drive

Ewing Road closed Wednesday, January 8

Ewing Road and Schroth Street will be closed on Wednesday, January 8 while OMU water crews install a 12-inch water main. The work should last approximately eight hours starting at 8 a.m. Detours will be marked.

Holiday Lighting Contest winner announced

Robert Kuhner of 3876 Raintree Drive, was honored this week by the OMU Utility Commission, for winning our annual Holiday Lighting Contest. Mr. Kuhner earned a $250 gift certficate, a lighted sign announcing him as the winner and professional photos of his home. Mr. Kuhner was among 16 entries judged in a contest hosted by OMU and the City of Owensboro Neighborhood Alliances. Congratulations to all the winner!

OMU to host annual holiday lighting contest

OMU and the City of Owensboro Neighborhood Alliance Program are hosting the annual Golden Santa Award. This unique residential holiday lighting contest carries with it not only bragging rights, but a $250 OMU gift certificate, prize package and a lighted yard sign. Routine flushing of water system starts October 25

Owensboro Municipal Utilities crews will be conducting the utility’s semi-annual water line flush for city customers starting October 25. The flushing is expected to take approximately one week. Crews will be working between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. each of those days and will begin on the northeast end of the city and work south and west. Boil Water Advisory lifted for customers near Plant A Treatment Facility
