OMU is proud to celebrate the holiday spirit by hosting an annual residential holiday lighting contest that helps our community shine brightly each season.
Homeowners can enter their own displays and neighbors are encouraged to nominate homes that spread holiday cheer. Entries are judged on creativity, lighting, color, design, and overall presentation.
The winning display receives:
- A $250 OMU gift certificate
- A commemorative lighted yard sign
- Recognition from the Owensboro City Commission and Owensboro Utility Commission
- Community bragging rights
The contest is open to OMU customers within the city limits.
