Boil Water Notice lifted for OMU and water district customers

At 11:30 today, Saturday, December 2, the Boil Water Notice was lifted for OMU customers, and customers of the three water districts serving the residents of Daviess County including Whitesville water.
Testing throughout the incident never indicated any contamination in the system. However, the boil water notice was issued after the water system experienced a drop in water pressure following a main break Thursday morning, as a measure of precaution for our customers.
We appreciate the patience and support of our customers and community. We are also grateful for the dedicated and knowledgeable employees that worked around the clock to repair the leak and ensure a safe and reliable source of water.
As a reminder, the Boil Water Notice has been lifted.
