Hillcrest Tank gets a fresh look

You may have noticed that the Hillcrest Water Tank got a new look. The tank recently got a fresh coat of paint and features the OMU logo.

Tamarack Road lane closures Wednesday through Friday

An OMU contractor will be working to repair a sidewalk at Tamarack Road and Frederica Street. As a result, the eastbound lane of Tamarack will be closed beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16 and reopened by the end of the day on Friday, March 18. No turns will be permitted onto Tamarack from Frederica. In addition, westbound traffic across Frederica onto Tamarack will be detoured.

Tamarack Road lane to be closed

The westbound lane of Tamarack Road, nearest Frederica, will be closed Tuesday, February 9 through Friday, February 12 to allow OMU contractors to replace a large transmission pole at the intersection. Detours will be clearly marked and direct traffic to Scherm Road and Lewis Lane. Truck traffic will be directed to Southtown Boulevard and Carter Road. Work will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 6 p.m.

Customer Service Center to close at noon

Due to worsening weather, OMU’s Customer Service Center will close at noon today. Crews will remain on standby to address any storm related issues or outages. Please avoid driving if at all possible and take care when you do.

OMU, Neighborhood Alliances host annual lighting contest

OMU and the city’s Neighborhood Alliance Program are hosting the annual Golden Santa Award.
