OMU Celebrates National Drinking Water Week

OMU, along with other public utilities across the nation will celebrate the benefits of an accessible, safe and ample water supply May 6 – 12. As you may know, Owensboro is fortunate to have an ample supply of water thanks to an underground aquifer. This water is then treated by OMU and provided to not only the residents of Owensboro, but also to three water districts which deliver water to all of Daviess County.

In celebration of National Drinking Water Week, OMU will provide a refillable water bottle to those visiting our Customer Service Center on Tamarack Road.

In addition, bottles and additional information will be available at the Owensboro Family YMCA.

Did you know bottled water costs 2,000 more time that of tap water? To learn more about OMU’s water system and supply, visit omu.org/water-quality to review our annual Water Quality Report.
