Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU) announced the launch of its mobile app. The app, developed by Red Pixel Studios, features:
- Easy online bill payment
- Historical usage and billing data and graphs
- Timely system status updates
- Text alert and notification options
- Useful news and information
- Helpful information about OMU and its services
“This will be another useful tool for our customer-owners. The development of the app was a natural step after the launch of our new website and customer account portal,” Sonya Dixon, Public Relations and Communications Manager for OMU. “The OMU app is another opportunity for us to provide useful information, helpful payment options and services to our customers.”
Over the past year, OMU has worked jointly with Red Pixel Studios to use new technology to better serve and inform customers. In August, OMU launched of a new responsive website design with increased search functionality, as well as, a texting option providing timely information regarding the local utility and its services. Most recently, an intranet was released to increase efficiency and deliver information to OMU employees.
The app is free and available to all OMU customers by downloading it from the Apple Store or Google Play.
