The OMU Holiday Lighting Contest recognizes residents in our community who take the time to install bright, beautiful holiday lighting at their home.
Winners earn bragging rights, an illuminated sign, and a $250 gift certificate. In addition, the 2025 winners were honored by the OMU Utility Commission during today’s meeting. Entries are judged on originality, use of lighting, and creativity.
OMU has held the annual lighting contest for more than 20 years. Our secret panel of judges had difficulty selecting a winner this year, as our community completely understood the assignment. There are so many beautiful displays.
However, the display at 100 East 19th Street — home of Jean and Greg Sexton — claimed this year’s honors. Their corner lot is carefully curated and filled with lights, inflatables, and special details including motion displays, a Christmas countdown and decorations.
Congratulations Jean and Greg!
