Customers in the Bon Harbor neighborhood are without water after a contractor struck a 12-inch water main.
A Boil Water Advisory was issued at noon today for the Bon Harbor area. OMU crews are working to restore service. Customers that are affected are shown on the map below.
We anticipate that repairs will take several hours.
As a reminder, a Boil Water Advisory is simply an advisory that is issued when a water line (main) is opened whether it be for repairs or maintenance. Customers should not be concerned as this does not mean a contaminant has been identified in the water but are advised to boil water for drinking at a rolling boil for three minutes.
