OMU celebrates Public Power Week

As a resident of Owensboro, you live in a public power community, which means you own your electric, water, and telecommunications utility. It means you benefit from affordable and reliable services, a customer-focused philosophy, and a utility that cares about the overall well-being and growth of your community.

Each year OMU joins over 2,000 other municipal utilities across the nation to celebrate Public Power Week. During the first week of October, we honor our customer-owners and our over 100-year legacy of providing reliable electric service to our community.

We invite you to celebrate with us during the week of October 2 through October 6. Each day that week customers visiting our Customer Service Center at 2070 Tamarack Road will receive a commemorative gift. On Wednesday, October 4, our OMU Volunteer Team will serve a boxed lunch to those visiting between 11:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. while supplies last.
