Naulty earns KMUA awards

The Kentucky Municipal Utility Association recently honored OMU General Manager Terry Naulty with two awards. Terry earned the David Versus Goliath Award for “his courage and tenacity in forming the joint action agency: KyMEA” and the First Electric Leadership honor for “exhibiting and exercising exceptional leadership.”

KMUA represents 45 city-owned utilities which provide the essential services of electric power, water, wastewater, natural gas and telecommunication services. KMUA takes pride in providing low-cost, efficient and reliable services to locally owned and operated utilities governed by city officials or independent utility boards appointed by city officials.

KMUA’s mission is to unify and serve as a common voice for municipal utilities by advocating for community-owned and controlled utilities and to provide its members with the support they need to deliver maximum benefit to their customers and communities.
