Owensboro Municipal Utilities is pleased to announce the expansion of digital payment options available through the My Account Customer Portal, making it easier than ever for customers to manage and pay their utility bills.
Beginning immediately, customers using the Customer Portal will be able to select from several widely used digital wallet and payment methods, offering added convenience, flexibility, and speed when making payments.
New Payment Options Now Available:
- PayPal
- Google Pay
- Apple Pay
- Venmo
These new options are designed to meet customers where they already are—on their phones and in their preferred digital payment platforms—while continuing to provide secure and reliable processing through OMU’s billing systems.
Go Paperless and Never Miss a Due Date
Customers are also encouraged to take advantage AutoPay and Paperless Billing options available in the Customer Portal.

Supporting Our Community: OMU Community Cares Program
The OMU Community Cares Program helps local residents facing financial hardships to maintain essential utility services. Through a partnership with the Salvation Army, customer donations are combined with OMU’s annual contribution to create a dedicated assistance fund that supports those in our community when they need it most.
Customers can easily contribute in the way that works best for them:
- Make a one-time donation with your utility payment
- Add a fixed donation amount to your monthly bill
- Round your bill up to the nearest dollar
Every contribution—large or small—helps ensure that essential services remain available to those experiencing financial hardship.
