Customers should begin to see increasing water pressure and service. OMU’s Plant A Water Treatment Facility is back online and crews are systematically recharging the system by filling lines with water. Crews are also using hydrants to flush lines throughout the system to release trapped air and clear sediment.
Customers may notice, upon opening a faucet, trapped air or cloudiness. If this occurs, simply allow the water until the air is released and the water runs clear.
You may notice changes in pressure throughout the evening, do not be alarmed. This may occur as valves are opened throughout the system to allow for restoration.
Please note that the boil water order is still in effect and the request for conservation is still underway.
