All electric and water meters are read monthly and billed a few days later. We make every effort to see that you receive your bill at about the same time each month. However, your billing period may vary from 28 to 35 days depending on the weather and other factors.
Customers of Owensboro Municipal Utilities receive a statement every 28-32 days listing their charges for the previous month. This bill includes OMU electric and water service, but is much more than an OMU bill.
As a convenience for our customers your bill includes three other charges; Regional Water Resource Agency, City of Owensboro Sanitation, and Owensboro Board of Education tax. OMU collects these three charges and passes them to the appropriate agency. This partnership saves money for each organization and makes bill payment easier for you.
